I am honoured to take on the role of Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) at Devon Intermediate School. This position is dedicated to enhancing learning outcomes for all students, with a particular focus on those requiring additional support. 

I grew up in Horowhenua and began my teaching career in Auckland. In 2004, my husband Matthew and I moved to New Plymouth to raise our family, and it has been home ever since. Along with our four sons, we live on a lifestyle block in Spotswood that we are gradually developing into our own little piece of “Taradise.”

I have been part of the Devon Intermediate community since my sons attended the school, and our eldest started in 2013.  During that time, I served a term on the Board of Trustees and also worked as a reliever at the school.  For the past 8 years, I have been working as a learning support teacher, working with a variety of students with different learning support needs.

As LSC, I act as a key liaison between students, whānau, teachers, and external agencies, helping to ensure that learning support is well coordinated, culturally responsive, and integrated across the curriculum. I am committed to supporting both staff and students at Devon Intermediate and welcome communication about how we can best support our learners together.
