I am proud to be the newest member of the Devon Intermediate Senior leadership Team. We are a strong driven team who strives for the best outcomes for our tamariki in all settings. My previous role as Special Education Coordinator here at Devon Intermediate for the last 5 years has continuously shown me what an amazing kura we have with teachers who are passionate and committed to best practice in their teaching and who work collaboratively to build strong relationships with students, whanau and their colleagues.
Intermediate is such a special, memorable time for time for students as they further develop their sense of self and discover their place in the world. It is my privilege to be on this journey with them encouraging them to explore, learn, make mistakes and grow.
I am always looking for opportunities to improve my knowledge of education especially inclusive education, effective teaching, brain based learning and PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning). This year I look forward to adding to my kete of knowledge of Digital Fluency in education, NZ Zealand histories and Localised Curriculum within our school.
