Board of Trustees
Welcome to the Devon Intermediates website from the current Board of Trustees.
As you are probably already well aware the schools Board is entrusted with Governance and Support for the school and staff.
Devon's Board takes that role seriously and on behalf of the staff, parents and students we ensure appropriate goals are set and help deliver excellent outcomes.
The Board of Trustees is just one avenue for parents to get involved with and assist their children’s education. We like to promote Students, Staff and Parents working together form a triangle known that we refer to as The Power of Three. Positive community involvement in schools is proven to help students and we encourage this.
Funding of schools is not getting any easier and the state really only provides the basics, because of this our school (like most other state funded schools) asks our parents and caregivers pay a donation to the school. If you have children at the school and haven’t yet paid then please contact the office to make this ‘donation’ – if you’ve already paid then thankyou. We are also planning a number of fundraisers during the year, like a Gala day, to help pay for extra resources such as computers; with plenty of support these should be a lot of fun as well as a financial success.
I’m really positive about the direction this school is going and I hope you and your families join us and help us in providing the right learning environment for our children.
