Greetings for Term 1 2010...

Hi everyone I am pleased to be back in room 16 for another action packed year at my base school Devon Intermediate.

My cluster still consists of the best schools in the west: St Josephs, West End and of course Devon.

I am part of the Academic Academy (Endeavour House – Go Red!) but my role as RTLB encompasses the entire school population staff, students, parents and caregivers. I am available to help with learning & behavioural issues that affect our tamariki. I hope with a team approach we can enable every child to access the rich educational opportunities that are available at Devon Intermediate.

Noodle Club operates once again this year. Lunchtime dining & games for any student Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Students may bring their lunch over at 1.00 and enjoy the company of others with similar interests. Student assistants help with the running of the room (they have Noodle Club passes) and are back in their rooms by 2.15.

Target Card and social skills groups will also operate depending on need.

Pastoral care – I care for our tamariki, if you have something you are not sure what to do about you can pop in or phone for a chat if I can’t help I may know someone who can. At Devon we have an open door policy and the door to room 16 is always open…
